IPS welcomes Alyssa Jones-Plutte to the team

Our new office administrator, Alyssa Jones-Plutte, enjoys the workplace culture, her colleagues and learning something new every day. We recently caught up for a conversation about her joining the IPS team.

You started at IPS in late 2020. What will you be doing for the company?

I’m one of the voices that you hear on the other end of the phone line, and I hope to see more of our clients in person soon. I like interacting with people, problem-solving and managing tasks, so it’s a great fit for me. Right now, I’m enrolled in a virtual payroll software training course from iSolved®

Tell us more about your professional background.

Before joining IPS, I was a middle school teacher in Waukesha. I have a degree in education with minors in English language arts and science from UW-Milwaukee. I’m a stickler for good punctuation and grammar.

We understand you are a history buff. What do you like to do in your spare time?

History is a favorite subject of mine and that’s why my go-to vacation spot is Washington, D.C. I also enjoy quilting, knitting, hiking and reading. Some of my favorite books are “The Great Alone” by Kristin Hannah and “This Tender Land” by William Kent Kreuger.

What is one luxury that you simply cannot live without?

My heated blanket. These Wisconsin winters get cold!
